Alloy K-500 / Monel K-500® (W-Nr. 2.4375) Alloy K-500 is a nickel-copper alloy that can be hardened by heat treatment (precipitation hardening), combining the corrosion resistance of Monel 400 with significantly higher strength and hardness. It also features low magnetic permeability and is non-magnetic at temperatures below 150°F (101°C).
It is used in the manufacturing of pump shafts, tools for the oil and gas industry, medical instruments such as scalpels, springs, valve seals, safety components, and propeller shafts for marine vessels.
