General Characteristics

Alloy 600 / Inconel 600® (W-Nr. 2.4816; UNS N06600; ASTM B166; DIN 17742, 17750-17754) Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium alloy known for its high resistance to oxidation at elevated temperatures and excellent corrosion resistance in environments containing chloride ions, hard water, and caustic soda solutions.
Applications include:

  • Furnace components, due to thermal stability at high temperatures
  • Chemical and food industries, for corrosion-resistant equipment
  • Nuclear equipment, where materials must withstand aggressive environments
  • Ignition electrodes, due to their conductivity and resistance to extreme heat

Inconel 600 is a preferred material in industrial applications where durability, thermal stability, and corrosion resistance are essential.
