General Characteristics

Alloy 601 / Inconel 601® (W-Nr. 2.4851; UNS N06601; DIN 17742, 17750-17754) Alloy 601 is a nickel-chromium alloy with an addition of aluminum, designed for exceptional resistance to oxidation and corrosion at high temperatures. In addition to its thermal protection, the alloy offers excellent mechanical properties even under extreme conditions.
Applications include:

  • Industrial furnaces, due to its stability at high temperatures
  • Heat treatment equipment such as baskets, sleeves, and retorts
  • The petrochemical industry, where corrosion-resistant materials are essential
  • Processing equipment used in aggressive environments
  • Gas turbine components, thanks to its mechanical and thermal resistance

Inconel 601 is an ideal material for applications requiring durability, thermal stability, and high resistance to oxidation and corrosion.
