Alloy 625 / Inconel 625® (W-Nr. 2.4856; UNS N06625; DIN 17744, 17750-17752) Alloy 625 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with the addition of niobium, which works in conjunction with molybdenum to strengthen the alloy matrix, providing high hardness without the need for heat treatment.
This alloy exhibits excellent corrosion resistance across a wide range of chemical environments and is particularly resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion.
It is used in the chemical, aerospace, and marine engineering industries, and is commonly found in pollution control equipment and nuclear reactors.
