General Characteristics

Alloy 80A / Nimonic 80A® (W-Nr. 2.4631/2.4952; UNS N07080) Alloy 80A is a nickel-chromium alloy similar to Nimonic 75, but strengthened with additions of aluminum and titanium. This alloy provides good resistance to corrosion and oxidation, as well as remarkable creep resistance at temperatures up to 1500°F (815°C).
Thanks to these properties, Nimonic 80A is used in:

  • Gas turbine components, including blades, rings, and discs
  • Bolts, screens, and pipe supports in nuclear generators
  • Inserts and cores for dies
  • Exhaust valves in internal combustion engines

This alloy is preferred in applications where high-temperature durability and mechanical strength are essential.
