General Characteristics

Alloy HX / Inconel HX® (W-Nr. 2.4665; UNS N06002) Alloy HX is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy characterized by high hardness and excellent resistance at temperatures up to 2200°F (1200°C). The alloy matrix is reinforced by its molybdenum content, which provides high solid solution strength and structural stability in extreme environments.
Applications include:

  • Gas turbines, due to its resistance to extreme temperatures
  • Industrial furnaces, where thermal stability is critical
  • Heat treatment equipment, thanks to its excellent mechanical properties
  • Nuclear engineering, where resistance to aggressive environments is essential

Thanks to its outstanding workability and stability at elevated temperatures, Inconel HX is one of the most widely used alloys in demanding industries.
