Aliajul Super Duplex F53 (UNS S32750) is a super duplex stainless steel supplied in the solution-annealed condition. This type of steel combines the essential advantages of austenitic and ferritic grades, resulting in a material with exceptional properties.
In addition, due to its high chromium, molybdenum, and nitrogen content, this alloy achieves a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) above 41. As a result, it offers superior resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion in virtually any corrosive environment. It also features a critical pitting temperature exceeding 50°C.
UNS S32750 delivers outstanding performance in extremely aggressive environments, with key advantages including:
Alloy | Tensile Strength (psi) | Yield Strength (psi) | Elongation (%) |
---|---|---|---|
SS 329 | 115,000 | 80,000 | 15 |
Super Duplex F53 can be readily welded using most standard arc welding methods. However, it is important to note that oxy-acetylene welding is not recommended, as it may introduce carbon into the weld metal, negatively impacting final performance.
For optimal performance, S32750 alloys must be solution annealed and rapidly quenched after hot or cold forming. Annealing should be performed at a minimum of 1052°C, followed by immediate rapid cooling in air or water.
To ensure maximum corrosion resistance, all heat-treated products should be properly pickled and thoroughly rinsed.
